Outline ‘looks’ beyond the visual spectrum -July 18

After participating in a comprehensive tender process, the Queensland Dept. of Agriculture and Fisheries (BioSecurity) has appointed Outline Global to deliver remote sensing services to the Red Imported Fire Ant (RIFA) Surveillance Program. This exciting and challenging project will see the research and development of bespoke custom designed remote sensing equipment, processes and analysis to the program over multiple years.

Field trials covering the full spectrum, including hyper-spectral and thermal spectral bands are being planned in conjunction with research into the use of Machine Learning and Visual Analytics to determine the optimal remote sensing data and analysis techniques for RIFA detection. This pioneering work has our team of specialists very excited and we look forward to sharing some or this information with our many end users.
