PROBLEM STATEMENT:

With hundreds of km of beaches in the Pilbara coastal region it is difficult to obtain accurate information regarding Turtle populations and nesting locations using land or traditional aerial surveys

SOLUTION:

Outline Global Pty Ltd is a member the Landgate aerial imagery supplier panel and has for the third consecutive year been allocated an ever increasing share of the state imagery acquisition project. Locations range from far north Kimberley region to the Great Southern and Eastern Goldfields.

Two Outline Gtech camera system were used simultaneously to fly along island beaches between specific low sun angles (enhances track visibility) and tidal variances. Imagery captured at resolution of 2.5cm GSD over 25 survey hours. All imagery was processed to orthophotos, mosaicked and cataloged.
